What You'll Do :
Job Summary The IAM Specialist plays a critical role in shaping and securing Eaton's identity and access management landscape. This position is responsible for supporting the end-to-end onboarding of applications into enterprise Identity Governance and Access Management platforms. This role is focused on ensuring that identity-related controlsincluding provisioning, approval workflows, certification, and role-based accessare implemented consistently and effectively across the organization.
As a member of the Agile delivery team, the engineer will work closely with application owners, business stakeholders, and security architects to gather requirements, configure solutions, and document processes. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who knows what questions to ask to uncover technical and business needs, and who can translate those into actionable implementation steps.
This position will play a key role in operationalizing identity governance strategies, maintaining documentation and SOPs, and supporting identity governance (IGA) and privileged access management (PAM) processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and lead the design, development, and implementation of IAM platforms and systems.
- Execute the onboarding of applications into IGA platforms, including configuration of provisioning, deprovisioning, and access workflows.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with application teams to define access needs, approval chains, and certification cycles.
- Configure role-based access controls (RBAC) and ensure alignment with least privilege principles.
- Support integration efforts with web services, databases, and LDAP directories.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the IGA Architect and other stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of identity governance policies.
- Provide baseline support for privileged access management tools and processes.
- Troubleshoot onboarding issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Configure and fine-tune IAM technologies to align with operational and security requirements.
- Maintain and update platform documentation to ensure system health and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; identify gaps and risks in service delivery.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of 7 years experience within a large corporation IT Business related function.5+ years leading the design, development, and implementation of IAM platforms and enterprise-wide systemsExpert level of system / platform expertise - fully demonstrated leading many full-life cycle projects.Advanced knowledge of functional and technical capability including understanding of the core programming and database.Must currently reside within 50 miles of posted locations(s). Relocation is not available for this role.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.This position requires access to export-controlled information. Preferred degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain or related field. Masters' degree preferred.Previous experience leading global IT projects.Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. This position will often work with other business analysts, project managers and business teams on a regular basis.Good team-oriented interpersonal skills. Assists with facilitation sessions, may require some coaching on how to lead and influence others, and to effectively interface and work with a wide variety of people.Good team player, self-motivated and committed with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Technical knowledge
Certifications in IGA solutions (e.g., Saviynt Certified Advanced IGA Professional, SailPoint Certified Identity Security Administrator).Experience designing solutions to effectively manage privileged access (shared credentials and personal) using PAM solutions like Saviynt PAM, CyberArk, Thycotic.Strong understanding of modern authentication / authorization standards (SAML, OIDC) including when to apply them to example use cases and how to perform high-level troubleshooting.Experience in designing solutions for non-human account lifecycle management.Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific IAM credentials are desired.Working knowledge of web services, databases, and LDAP integrations.Ability to produce clear and actionable documentation and SOPs.Experience working in Agile environments.Skills : Soft skills
