Neurology Technician

- Position : Neurology Technician
- Contract Duration : 13 weeks
- Shift : 8H Days (8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Job Description / Summary :
This is a clinical position where the incumbent performs neuro-diagnostic testing including EEG studies in both the outpatient ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Incumbent must be technically adept, have excellent patient care and customer service skill sets, and be able to work with severely ill pediatric patient populations.
Essential Functions :
- Performs EEG Testing and related or separate neuro-diagnostic testing, services, procedures and techniques on outpatients and inpatients as assigned
- Assists medical providers in performing special procedures as assigned
- Performs inter-operative EEG under the direct supervision of neurologists
- Documents all services performed in applicable medical records system
- Abstracts relevant information from the patient’s clinical record and obtains additional information by questioning
- Files recordings and enters file data in the computer database
- Timely charge for proper procedures through H.I.S. System
- Inspects and assures proper maintenance of all equipment and make minor repairs when possible
- Keeps equipment in a clean operating condition
