Job Description
Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for the business results of a defined portfolio of product, the Product Manager will determine the product strategy based upon company position and develop plans to achieve product objectives. Working with other Baker Departments (Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Pricing, Operations) the Product Manager will be responsible for implementation of his or her proposals and, ultimately, for their success.
Essential Duties
- Manage product results including inventory, costs, revenues and contributions.
- Analyze product costs and evaluates against other product lines and competition.
- Determine the product strategy based upon company position.
- Manage inventory levels; analyze and determine stocking levels and review and manage inventory performance including turns, excess, slow products, and disposal of nonproductive inventory.
- Evaluate and monitor sales performance and develop sales initiatives.
- Partner with supporting departments to transition, price and launch successful products.
Qualifications
- Broad, multi-brand Food Service equipment experience.
- Proven strategic pricing experience.
- 3-5 years of Food Service Sales or Product Line Management Experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred/Industry experience required.
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The employee frequently is required to stand, sit or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- This role is an in-office role based out of the corporate office.
- Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel
- Consistent travel (approximately 20%) is expected within the region set by the manager as well as nationwide
