Litigation Attorney – Global Trade & Transportation Team

Location : New Orleans, Louisiana (Full-time, In-Office)

A well-respected firm in New Orleans is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Global Trade & Transportation Team . This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with solid litigation experience who’s interested in handling complex matters involving transportation, insurance defense, and commercial disputes.

About the Role :

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury, insurance defense, and / or commercial litigation , with a preference for candidates who have handled motor carrier, rail, or maritime litigation . You’ll work alongside seasoned attorneys managing high-exposure cases, developing litigation strategy, and representing clients in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities :

Manage all phases of litigation, from initial investigation to trial or settlement.

Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.

Conduct and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.

Make regular court appearances and handle motion hearings.

Collaborate with team members to deliver effective legal strategies and results.

Qualifications :

J.D. from an accredited law school.

Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana Bar , or eligible to waive in .

2+ years of litigation experience (personal injury, insurance defense, or commercial).

Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

First-chair trial experience preferred but not required.

Excellent communication, organization, and case management abilities.
