Staff Accountant

General Statement Of Duties
Responsible for assisting the Accounting department with the month-end close process including preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Assists with various special projects as needed.
Essential Functions
- Execute month-end close activities across various accounting functions.
- Support projects, process optimizations, and system enhancements.
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses to ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounting processes and improve accuracy.
- Identify and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and controls with corresponding solutions.
- Adapt to evolving priorities while contributing positive energy to a collaborative team environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplineExperience
1+ years of public accounting experience and / or 1+ years in industryStrong accounting foundationAbility to excel in a collaborative team environment and adapt to an evolving workplace.Knowledge
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting practices.Knowledge and understanding of finance / accounting systems and designing processes and proceduresAccounting workpaper design and documentationSkills
