Position Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud AWS Engineer IV to drive reliability, automation, and observability practices across cloud foundational platforms in a large-scale enterprise environment. In this role, you will serve as a key member of a cloud platform squad with a focus on Cloud Networking , SRE best practices , and Infrastructure Automation .
You will develop automation, instrumentation, and monitoring solutions that enhance platform stability, improve service health, and reduce operational toil. This position is ideal for engineers passionate about AWS , IaC (Terraform) , Python or Go , metrics / tracing , and cloud service resilience at scale .
Key Responsibilities :
- Champion SRE culture and influence reliability best practices across cloud platform teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain automations, scripts, and reusable software utilities to eliminate manual work and improve reliability.
- Build and maintain synthetic monitoring (canaries) to measure service health.
- Lead SLI / SLO / Error Budget development in partnership with product and platform teams.
- Implement full-stack observability (logs, metrics, traces) for cloud network components including VPC, VPN Tunnels, GWLB, Transit Gateway , etc.
- Utilize tools such as Dynatrace, SevOne, Grafana, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Canary, AWS EventBridge .
- Respond to and resolve production incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision and manage AWS resources.
- Drive standardization and create reusable artifacts to scale SRE practices across the organization.
- Collaborate in Agile / Scaled Agile environments to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Support infrastructure for large, multi-service enterprise applications .
Required Skills / Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.5-7 years enterprise software development life cycle experience, including maintenance and support.3+ years hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Observability .3+ years experience in Cloud Networking (Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.).Strong AWS cloud engineering experience (AWS networking, services, automation).Software development in Python or Go within cloud environments.Experience with observability / OpenTelemetry and tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Canary .Proven ability to automate TOIL and improve operational efficiency.Experience working in Agile / Scaled Agile environments.Strong understanding of reliability, incident response, SLIs / SLOs, and monitoring strategies .Experience supporting large-scale, multi-service environments .Preferred Qualifications :
Azure knowledge or multi-cloud experience.Experience in banking, financial services, or secure environments .Knowledge of secure coding standards .AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).Familiarity with SevOne or similar network monitoring tools.About Seneca Resources
