Care Pro / Companion

Objective :

Home Instead Care Pros provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead Care Pros, also known as Companions, help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities :

Provide Companionship and Home Helper Services which could include but are not limited to :

• Companionship and conversation
• Perform light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
• Prepare meals and clean up meal-related items
• Provide medication reminders and appointment reminders
• Provide incidental transportation using your vehicle or a client's vehicle, for example, accompanying clients to appointments. Mileage reimbursement is available when your care is used.
• Report daily activities and any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions via the WellSky call in system, or by directly calling the office
• Report hours according to office policy and communicate changes in availability in a timely manner

In order to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our clients, we conduct periodic unannounced Quality Assurance site visits and solicit feedback during all phone conversations. A performance appraisal will be conducted annually. Raises are based on exemplification of company core values, client compatibility, feedback, and your own reliability and availability.
