Real Estate Lending Associate Attorney (Junior to Mid-Level)

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a junior to mid-level Real Estate Lending Associate to join its Charlotte office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognized real estate finance team handling complex transactions for a wide range of institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Represent financial institutions in real estate and asset-based lending transactions, with a focus on loan origination.
Draft and negotiate loan documents, conduct due diligence, and coordinate closings.
Assist developers in purchase, sale, and financing of real estate and other collateral (preferred but not required).
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality, timely service and legal support.
Requirements :
3–5 years of experience in real estate and asset-based lending, including loan origination.
Experience representing banks and other institutional lenders required.
Experience with developers and collateral financing is a plus.
Member of the North Carolina Bar or eligible to waive into NC.
Excellent academic credentials and strong legal writing and client service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
