Job Description and Duties
This position is eligible for telework three (3) days a week, in accordance with DGS’s Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office two (2) days a week.
The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Personnel Analyst (APA) is responsible for performing a variety of more complex analytical duties related to classification and pay (C&P) and providing consultative human resources related support services to assigned contracted client agencies and programs.
The APA may act as a lead over complex projects and / or lower-level staff.
This position promotes and is accountable for customer satisfaction and quality service and provides recommendations and changes that promote innovative solutions to meet customer needs, in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Personnel Board (SPB), and DGS policies and procedures.
This position may be downgraded to Staff Services Analyst for recruitment purposes. If downgraded, duties will be adjusted accordingly.
