Lab Technician

Description :

This role is for a Laboratory Technician, this is a non-degree

required role that is their most entry level position in the lab. This person

will be doing a lot of documentation an inventory management. Will be a part of

batch release process. They will also play a minor role in the lab, setting up

equipment, doing media prep, organization, and making spec sheets for the

scientists.

This person will spend 60% of their day behind a desk, in the

sample prep area, will be responsible for a lot of paperwork, making sure that

information is recorded correctly and doing data entry. The remainder of the

time they will be on the production floor doing sampling of products or

interacting with the production team. They will do very basic sample prep as

well which will be done in the small lab behind their desk. It will include

washing dishes, weighing samples, and doing prep work for scientists.

Release Procedures

Release of all raw material, inactive and active, and finished

good material

3rd party contract releases

Customer sample releases to include all communication with customers.

Inventory management on all materials on hold or quarantine

Stability Control

Maintaining all stability commitments

Ensuring all stabilities are sampled and stored in appropriate conditions.

Pull stabilities at beginning of month for testing.

Sampling and Handling

Sample and handle all raw material, inactive and active, and

finished goods.

Approve all containers.

Generate specification sheets for testing.

Keeping track of all annual testing and logging in appropriate logbook

Coordinate with production on schedule for sampling

Document Control

Record retention for 7 years on all papers and samples

Archive retention

Updating and maintaining all master files

Updating and maintaining all SOPs for production and laboratory

Updating new index log for master logs

Maintaining approved vendor letters

Vendor verification

Skills :

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

This person does not have to have a degree, but someone that has

experience doing a contract, or other entry level lab work will be good for

this spot.
