Job Summary
Commercial / Procurement Legal Counsel
Responsibilities :
- Independently lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of vendor contracts, including SaaS, software licenses, cloud computing, AI, and professional services agreements.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
- Collaborate with sourcing, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure contracts meet legal and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and streamlined processes.
- Support continuous improvement of contract management systems and practices.
- Enforce legal department policies related to commercial transactions.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial contracts, including in-house legal work.Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and deliver creative, business-minded solutions.Strong interpersonal skills and experience building cross-functional relationships.Familiarity with technology transactions and regulated industries.Experience with financial services or working within a regulated environment is a plus.Details
