Overview
Sr Field Service Technician- Instrumentation / Tank Gauging Systems (Finance) – Houston, TX. Under supervision of the Regional Service Leader Americas, you will provide customer support for Honeywell Enraf tank gauging systems and related instrumentation, assisting customers with commissioning and repair of products through both telephone and on-site assistance. You will provide technical assistance to staff and sales support through communications with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site customer service and telephone assistance for Honeywell Enraf tank gauging systems, instrumentation, and third-party supplied equipment, including commissioning of new equipment, preventive maintenance, and repair of existing systems.
- Perform shop work including logging in customer equipment, troubleshooting, repairing, or exchanging defective units.
- Read and interpret instrumentation and control drawings to support accurate troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Keep accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
- Conduct on-site service work in marketing terminals, chemical plants, and refineries.
- Assist in training customers both in-house and at customer sites, requiring strong presentation and communication skills.
- Provide after-hours support as required.
- Identify and report sales opportunities to Regional Sales Managers.
- Travel requirements range from 10% to 80%, including potential international assignments.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Must be able to travel locally via personal vehicle and by air as needed.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service or a similar technical roleStrong instrumentation background and troubleshooting expertise.Experience with Honeywell Enraf, FMC, or similar tank gauging systemsStrong knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systemsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectivelyWE VALUE
Familiarity with Honeywell Enraf tank gauging systems or similar equipment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.Knowledge of technical mathematics, mechanical aptitude, and standard troubleshooting practices.Experience in records management and technical report writing.Ability to research technical issues and provide effective solutions.Excellent customer service, telephone, and communication skills.Self-starter, able to prioritize and align duties with customer needs.Bilingual skills a plus.Benefits
