Job descriptionManage and lead 7+ employees on a regular basis Lead planning and tracking of engineering change activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and plant program launch activities Identify opportunities for improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies Review and approve engineering records Interview and select new personnel Adjust and approve changes to plant layout Conduct performance reviews, including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions Participate in development QMS policy and IATF standards and ensure adherence Provide technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel May be required to work extra hours and travel to meet customer needs Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by General Manager Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Job Description
Job Summary : Provide technical and administrative leadership for a medium to large team of engineering personnel.
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in engineering and 10 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, time management, managerial, and leadership skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must have basic knowledge of CAD software, die operations, robotic operations, welding, and GD&T
- May be required to have proficiency in languages other than English
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
