Vice President, Investment Banking

Overview

Vice President, Investment Banking at Fifth Third Bank. Provide leadership in the pitching and execution of M&A and Strategic Advisory engagements while supporting the Senior Managing Director in day-to-day management of the team’s Associates and Analysts to ensure appropriate resource allocation and focus on high-priority projects. Lead development of modeling and analytical capabilities and ensure high-quality analysis and materials. Act as the point person for creation of high-impact pitch materials and manage the execution process, including financial models, CIM writing, and client communications with qualified buyers.

Responsible for risk by openly sharing ideas, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures to ensure a positive customer experience. Operates within the Bank\'s risk appetite while identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks across the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Understand and evaluate complex financial models.
• Perform complex financial analysis.
• Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
• Work well as part of a team in a high-stress environment.
• Develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Capital Markets and the rest of the organization.
• Manage priorities while working on multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously.
• Have a strong background in credit and corporate finance and apply that knowledge to IB projects.
• Serve as support to the Managing Directors and be capable of making internal and external IB presentations to support the team\'s efforts.
• Interact independently with all important constituencies in the course of the execution of an M&A or Strategic Advisory assignment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day supervision of the IB Associates and Analysts. Provide timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; develop employees to their fullest potential; identify talent and ensure succession planning; recognize and reward accomplishments.

Compensation

The base salary is reflective of the range for roles within the pay grade across the US. Individual salaries vary based on role, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. This role is eligible for incentive compensation based on company, line of business, and / or individual performance.
