SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics.

Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world's leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.

The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Collaborate with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
  • Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials.
  • Use judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
  • Negotiate with outside supply vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
  • Integrate sales orders with master schedule.
  • Coordinate availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintain master distribution schedule for the assigned facility.
  • Revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Participate in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments.
  • Lead additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

Requirements :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP II.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or a related field required.
  • At least five years of related experience in a manufacturing or similar environment required.
  • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
