Remote Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to perform duties related to the record processing operation of the Medical Records Department.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the coding, abstracting, and analysis of medical records

May assist with assembly, tracking, and completion of incomplete medical records

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate's degree in health information field or related healthcare program, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience

Two years of previous acute care medical record coding experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification, or other credentials in a health-related field
