HVAC Mechanic Lead

Overview

HVAC Lead role at Amentum in Washington, DC. Amentum is seeking an HVAC Lead to join our team in Washington, DC. As an HVAC Lead , you will operate, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage the control systems and associated subsystems; coordinate with the designated liaison on all current and future modifications to the BMS. A Top Secret / SCI clearance is required and must be obtainable and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead duties : ensure all major activity is entered in the daily log; log into Archibus and print tickets for the next shift; support Foreman to ensure shifts are covered prior to approving leave requests; ensure relief is on-site before authorizing staff to leave; brief the incoming shift on all major issues; ensure paperwork (PMs, WOs, WO requests, etc.) is completed properly and turned in on time; ensure staff sign in / out of their shifts and record hours accurately.
• Perform HVAC Journeyman duties, including installation, service, and repair of environmental-control systems in office buildings and other commercial facilities, following blueprints or engineering specifications; fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork; install evaporator units and refrigerant piping; connect motors, compressors, temperature and humidity controls, and control panels; test systems and adjust to proper operation; diagnose control system concerns and ensure occupancy comfort; perform preventative maintenance; identify opportunities to conserve building energy related to HVAC systems.
• Other related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Compensation

This position is compensated at an hourly rate of $49.67, in accordance with the terms set forth in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
