HVAC Inspector
The HVAC Inspector will oversee HVAC installations across various projects, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, preparing observation reports, ensuring code compliance, and managing documentation through Harris County OCE-approved systems. The role requires coordination with the OCE project manager and includes final project closeouts.
Shift : 6pm - 6am, weekends included
Duration : 6 months
Inspections :
- Conduct regular field inspections of HVAC installations, including ductwork, air-handling units, and other components, to verify quality and compliance. This is a physically active position which requires exerting up to and / or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties require standing, sitting, stretching, bending, stooping, climbing.
- Will work in cramped and awkward positions with all types of mechanical tools, electric, plumbing and other equipment.
Skills and Qualifications :
Strong background in HVAC systems, commercial construction, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) coordination.Six (6) years of experience in the installation, service, repair, or inspection of heating and air conditioning equipmentAbility to read and understand mechanical plans, specifications, and construction details.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft applications and project management software (e-Builder).A bachelor's degree in a related field is helpful, but significant experience in commercial HVAC installations is crucial.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00 / hr.
