We are in search of a Director of Lab for a leading high complexity lab in Central FL.

Monday-Friday typically

Reports to the VP Lab Operations

Lab Structure & Current State

• The lab processes 100,000 tests / day in the core lab (~60M / year)
• Staff : 200+ employees across clinical and non-clinical functions

Leadership : Two Lab Directors, each managing 25 direct reports

Must have :

1 Valid practitioner and supervisor licenses (multi-state licensure required) FL Supervisor License ( if they dont have, they will need to get if they move to FL)

2 Medical technologist registry required (i.e. ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent)

Director, Lab Operations :

The Director, Laboratory is responsible for the day to day technical and scientific operation of the laboratory and other duties as delegated by the Medical Director.

The position provides for the overall operation, leadership, direction, and administration of the Clinical Laboratories in accordance with CAP, Federal and State regulations governing clinical laboratories.

This position reports to the VP, Lab Operations.

Standardizes and ensures policy and procedures are current for services at lab locations and meet federal, state and local regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelors degree in medical technology or related sciences required

8 years laboratory management experience of similar high complexity and volume of testing required
