Sanitation Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team and ensure our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting in designated areas.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers, to maintain cleanliness.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of special events or projects.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with other staff to maintain a cohesive and well-organized workspace.

Work Environment

The position is based in a food manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to strict sanitation and safety standards. The role involves working with hazardous materials and requires wearing appropriate safety gear. The standard working hours are from 5 : 00 AM to 1 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for additional hours if desired.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Union City, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50 / hr.
