Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and Allied Universal management. Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and general assistance as requested. Monitor entry points and access to restricted areas as required by site-specific policies. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - School Patrol Unit
As a Security Officer - School Patrol Unit in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to maintaining order and providing an exceptional level of customer service. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and communicate clearly with everyone you encounter. Sat 06 : 00 PM - 02 : 00 AM
Sun 06 : 00 PM - 02 : 00 AM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
