Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and resolving discrepancies. This role offers foundational experience in accounting and ERP systems, with opportunities for cross-training and skill development in a collaborative team environment.
Education :
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience will be considered
Work Experiences :
0-4 years of accounting or accounts payable work experience requiredSkills :
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a teamBeginner to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tablesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service mindsetAbility to build and maintain positive vendor relationshipsExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or NetSuiteResponsibilities :
Perform 2-way and 3-way invoice matchingReview and confirm invoices have appropriate approvalsEnter invoices into accounting system for import retail, domestic retail, expense, or e-commerce businessesReconcile monthly statements using Excel functionsScan and link manually received invoices in ERP systemResolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teamsCommunicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiriesEscalate unresolved invoice issues to management or appropriate departments for resolutionManage group email box and respond to inquiries timelyForward requests to senior team members or management as neededCollaborate with senior team members for cross-training and skill developmentDevelops a working knowledge of Academy's policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesDuties may change; the team member may be required to perform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements & Attendance :
