Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate billing and compliance of claims processed through Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software
Conduct random audits for proper coding and follow up on complex insurance denials or unpaid balances
Identify trends and report findings while maintaining knowledge of insurance guidelines and coding changes
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma or GED required
Preferred certifications include CPB, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CHONC
Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, coding, or insurance collections
Understanding of insurance billing processes and medical coding terminology
Preferred experience in Medical Oncology, Radiology, Radiation, Laboratory, or Pathology
