The Global Payment Network Business Risk Office partners with business units to identify assess and mitigate Network-specific operational and regulatory risks. The Business Risk Office designs and executes risk frameworks manages issues and complaints ensures compliance supports change management and fosters a culture of accountability and informed decision-making. The Global Payment Network Business Risk Office Governance team ensures effective governance and risk management across Discover Network Diners Club International and PULSE Network ensuring Network or Participant impacting decisions are effectively challenged approved and socialized. As part of the team you will :

the team in identifying and assessing risk for decisions impacting the Network Participants or Cardholders.

2. Act as a liaison between Discover Network Diners Club International and / or PULSE Network and key stakeholders and process owners facilitating effective challenge approval and reporting processes.

3. Maintenance of Policies and Standards governing Global Payment Network operating processes.

Responsibilities :

• Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required
• Client Management - Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise
• Corrective action - Identify and track events and issues to mitigate risk to Capital One. Coordinate with applicable business areas to define / implement remediation activities
• Monitoring and Reporting of Retail Deposit Compliance efforts
• Change Management
• Lead change control efforts at the process level to ensure impacts are appropriately assessed documented and implemented

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago IL : $106700 - $121700 for Principal Risk Specialist

McLean VA : $117300 - $133900 for Principal Risk Specialist

New York NY : $128000 - $146100 for Principal Risk Specialist

Riverwoods IL : $106700 - $121700 for Principal Risk Specialist

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
