POSITION TITLE : Production Associate - Level 2

REPORTS TO : Director of Production & Facilities Non-Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY : To proficiently perform duties in the warehouse / production area including at least 3 of the following : shipping (order picking, packing, billing), assembly, duplication, receiving, inventory control or production management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Follows all approved policies and procedures of Production Department.
• Selects appropriate items in the quantity required for each order. Verifies quality / condition of all items picked.
• Packages order for shipping using appropriate containers and padding to help ensure that the product arrives at its intended destination in perfect condition.
• Must be able to consistently and accurately pick or pack an average of 25 orders per hour.
• When shipping Bound Print Matter, must determine the correct shipping method.
• Operates shipping station to ensure each package receives appropriate packing slip, invoice, and address labels. Ensures that package is routed to the proper carrier and labeled for the proper shipping option.
• Identifies problems with inventory quality, packaging, or addressing of packages; and takes appropriate steps to correct problems.
• For problems beyond normal shipping functions, relays appropriate information to Assistant Manager for correction.
• Processes print materials, kits, publicity packs and certificates using various commercial copy equipment, computer files and fold / insert equipment.
• Produces CD and DVD inventory using high volume duplication equipment using and creating Master Files.
• Arrives in a timely fashion and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled time, including breaks and meal periods.
• Immediately reports any discrepancies in inventory levels to Assistant Manager.
• Provides superior customer service by maintaining packing levels, quality of goods shipped, and accuracy.
• Begins each workday by joining requisite staff prayer and Bible study, by actively participating and ensuring the same of departmental team members and leaders.
• Prepared and willing to assist in other areas of Warehouse / Production as requested by the Assistant Manager or Director.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Demonstrated ability to operate computer efficiently and use keyboard.
• Demonstrated ability to operate selective material handling equipment efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and comprehend written material. Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective respectful working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and general public.
• Possess the necessary organizational skills to follow through on unusual requests for information and select the proper response utilizing proven problem-solving techniques.
• Possess a basic understanding and knowledge of Precept Ministries International, Inductive Study Method, and programs offered.
• Demonstrate a high level of maturity by consistently exhibiting good judgment, being levelheaded, and personally accountable.
• Possess and exhibit a desire to take on responsibility by seeking to gain additional departmental proficiencies.
• Possess and exhibit the ability to multitask and prioritize duties to achieve maximum personal efficiency.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :

High school graduate or equivalent. Six (6) to twelve (12) months prior experience in a warehouse production facility.
