Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our sales team and customers in Laurel, MD. This position plays a key role in managing orders, responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, and ensuring a smooth sales process from start to finish — without the responsibility of direct selling. Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone and email.
- Prepare and process customer quotes, purchase orders, and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the external sales team by providing product information, pricing, availability, and order status updates.
- Coordinate with production, shipping, and accounting departments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate customer records and order history in the company’s CRM or ERP system.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Assist with preparing sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative tasks.
- Build strong internal relationships to ensure efficient communication between departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
- 1-3 years of inside sales / account management experience.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Ability to understand and learn company products.
- Degree preferred, but not required.
