As a Security Officer with Allied Universal supporting a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access control points and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This post requires driving responsibilities as part of the role. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Thur 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Perform access control duties by monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors prior to granting access to the premises.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Utilize security-related equipment and technology to assist with access control procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, or site-specific procedures as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to established protocols.
  • Document access control activities, incidents, and observations in reports for management review.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and / or client representatives regarding security-related concerns or unusual activities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
