Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Para Educator. The Paraprofessional / Educator is an individual who works with students requiring generalized assistance to meet their behavioral and instructional needs, under the direct supervision of school professionals or other behavioral specialists.

- Monday - Friday
- Typically 8 : 00am - 3 : 00pm
- Pay Rate : $17 - 21 (Weekly Pay)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervises and assists studentsCommunicates pertinent information to teachers and can assist with generalized classroom dutiesDocuments session per policy and procedures. Strictly adheres to confidentiality requirementsAssists with activities of prescribed programsAssists students in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygieneAssists Behavioral Specialist or Teacher with the implementation of behavior management techniquesMinimum Requirements :
A High School diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent CPR certificationAbility to effectively elicit / provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, and clients) via strong communication skillsComputer proficiency requiredSuccessful completion of background screening and onboarding processMust meet all federal, state, and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageCrisis Prevention Training (as applicable per state and / or client requirement)Certificate and / or Associate Degree from an accredited Para Educator Training Program (as applicable per state and / or client requirement)Benefits
