Position Summary
We are currently seeking a strategic and execution-driven VP of Product Development to join the Products Team. This leader will be responsible for driving product innovation, enhancing customer value, and ensuring profitability across our credit card portfolio. The role requires deep knowledge of consumer lending, credit risk, and the competitive payments landscape as well as a strong understanding of managing a product’s value proposition to the customer and an eye for the future growth of credit card features and benefits.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for credit card product development, aligning with business growth and profitability goals.
- Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Recognize where existing products are not meeting expectations by leveraging data and assessing KPIs to recommend and implement product features, rewards, and pricing enhancements to drive customer satisfaction and improve profitability.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed on regulatory, technological, and consumer behavior trends impacting the credit card space.
- Make actionable recommendations based on insights from product performance, strategy, future initiatives, and strategic goals.
- Preparing and delivering high-impact presentations to senior executives.
- Lead the design, implementation, and measurement of A / B / n tests to understand the incremental impact of product changes to the success of your product KPIs.
- Able to build good relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders from across the Bank in Finance, Risk, Fraud, and Marketing to ensure flawless delivery of testing initiatives or roll outs.
- Ensure the timely coordination and completion of projects.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.10+ years of experience in consumer credit cards, banking, or payments, with at least 5 years in a senior product leadership roleStrong track record of launching and scaling innovative credit card products.5+ years managing a teamExperience in translating complex data into clear narratives that influence product decisions and priorities.Able to build good relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders from across the Bank in Finance, Risk, Fraud, IT and Marketing to ensure flawless delivery of testing initiatives or roll outs.Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.Sufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas and solutions.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred (Not Required)
