Position Summary
Our client, a leading educational technology company, is looking for a hands-on Salesforce Development Manager to lead solution design and technical delivery across their Salesforce platform. This role is perfect for a highly technical Salesforce professional who thrives in small, nimble teams and enjoys collaborating directly with business stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
You will bring expert-level Salesforce development skills and lead with thought partnership-guiding internal teams through scalable, best-practice approaches while mentoring two experienced Salesforce Administrators. This is a rare opportunity to own the roadmap, unblock stalled initiatives, and bring new capabilities to life in a highly customized Salesforce org.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Salesforce technical lead, owning architecture, development, and solution design across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing integrations.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and light management to two long-tenured Salesforce Admins.
- Lead custom development using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Flows, and third-party app integrations.
- Drive roadmap priorities and backlog refinement to reduce tech debt and improve system reliability.
- Introduce thought leadership around platform optimization, system governance, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with external engineering partners to align efforts, reduce backlog, and unblock stalled projects.
- Lead discussions with Marketing and Sales teams on campaign architecture, customer journey flows, and attribution strategies.
- Analyze and optimize data integrations between Salesforce and legacy backend systems (e.g., JDE, homegrown licensing tools, Talkdesk, SixSense).
- Support release planning, documentation, and training for business users.
Minimum Experience
3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, etc.)Strong grasp of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and platform limitations.Experience working in highly customized Salesforce environments.Proven ability to collaborate directly with business users and provide consultative recommendations.Experience supporting Marketing Cloud, Pardot, or customer journey-related workflows.Familiarity with integrations involving ERP / financial systems (e.g., JDE), Talkdesk, and internal custom tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across functions.Experience in a lean environment; comfortable rolling up your sleeves and wearing multiple hats.Bonus : Experience working in education, ed-tech, or subscription-based product companies.Salary / Wage Range
$130,000 / year + Bonus
