Quality Assurance & Food Safety Specialist – Location : Santa Fe Springs, CA. Salary Range : $56,000 – $79,000 (based on experience and qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for customers, providing essential documentation such as spec sheets, certificates, and guarantees.
• Develop, maintain, and improve food safety programs including HACCP, GMP, Food Defense, Recall, Allergen Control, and Supplier Verification.
• Verify product labeling and ingredients for regulatory compliance in the U.S.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead monthly internal audits and support third-party audits to ensure compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints, identify solutions, and respond promptly.
• Research and apply relevant State and Federal food safety regulations.
• Manage quality documentation, calibration records, and audit materials.
• Oversee pest control programs and sanitation compliance.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain necessary documents and certifications.
• Accompany inspectors from regulatory agencies (USDA, local health departments, NOAA) during onsite inspections.
• Travel occasionally to other branches to support food safety initiatives.
• Support company events, inventory counts, and other activities as needed.
