Field Technician / Cable Technician / Field Manager

We are seeking Cabling Technicians and Crew Leaders to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Technicians are responsible for the proper installation and troubleshooting of all types of cables and connections, structured cabling systems, and most voice or data systems installed by Moss. Much of our success is dependent on Technicians skills and their willingness to accept this significant responsibility. New employees learn skills, efficient work procedures, and dedication to quality from the examples set by Technicians.

Essential Functions

• Installs copper and fiber optic cabling for voice, data, video, and sound systems.
• Sets up, operates and saves results using test equipment for structured cabling including copper and fiber optic cables.
• Sets up telecom closets for the most effective use of equipment and space.
• Complies with applicable telecommunication standards and building codes.
