A Parenteral Drug Services Operator operates and maintains machinery for manufacturing and packaging parenteral drugs, a job that requires following strict aseptic techniques and cGMP / GLP standards. These are entry-level production positions that involve hands-on work on a manufacturing line.
Job responsibilities :
- Operate and monitor machinery to assist with the production and packaging of parenteral drugs.
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Batch Preparation : Measure, mix, and prepare drug formulations according to strict protocols.
- Equipment Operation : Run and monitor machinery like vial washers, autoclaves, filling lines, and lyophilizers.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed records for compliance with FDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
- Quality Control : Inspect products for contamination, defects, or deviations from specifications.
- Cleaning & Maintenance : Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterile areas and equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
