About this role :

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC's business through the designing of advancedbuilding automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking forsomeone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experiencedengineers to help develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control systems, and control algorithms.
• Creation, where necessary, of sequences of operation for the control of all building systems.
• Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents.
• Site-specific configuration of the WebCTRL system (using SiteBuilder).
• Programming of control algorithms including those that include third-party integration (using Eikon).
• Development of graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems (using Eikon and ViewBuilder).
• Testing of programming and interfaces prior to deployment.
• Functional testing (commissioning) of complex building systems such as chiller plants and large integrations.
• Setup and execution of factory witness tests for projects which require them.
• Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.
• Adhere to project requirements, company and customer standards of design, programming,and implementation.
• Technical support during the selling process to ensure that sales representatives accurately address customer requirements and propose the best possible solutions.
• Mentorship and development of less experienced Controls Engineers.
• Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations.
• Timely creation of requests for information (RFIs) which are clear, concise, and well written.
• Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with manager and project teams both internal and external.
• Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
• Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.
• Other duties as assigned.
