Job description

Learning & Development Consultant

Our client is a fast-growing landscape design and land management firm focused on sustainable practices and high-quality craftsmanship. They provide services across residential and commercial projects, including design / build, restoration, and maintenance. As their business continues to expand, they are seeking a skilled Learning & Development Consultant to design and implement a structured training system that supports workforce growth, enhances consistency, and reduces turnover.

The Learning & Development Consultant will lead the development of a company-wide training program, working closely with leadership to build clear learning paths, role-based SOPs, and engaging training materials. This consultant will create scalable systems that promote long-term employee development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess current training practices, organizational structure, and workforce challenges to identify key learning needs.
  • Design structured onboarding and skill-development programs for multiple job levels, from field staff to management.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and produce engaging content, including written guides and training videos.
  • Implement and configure learning management systems (LMS) to deliver, track, and measure training effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to coordinate video production, content updates, and rollout schedules.
  • Establish reporting tools and tracking dashboards to evaluate participation and performance outcomes.
  • Maintain and organize content libraries, manage version control, and ensure alignment with the company's mission and operational goals.

Qualifications :

  • Proven background in Learning & Development, preferably supporting hands-on or field-based work environments.
  • Strong experience managing LMS platforms and creating or customizing training content.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage both the strategic design and administrative coordination of training programs.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.

  • Contract Duration : Approximately 13 months
  • Schedule : 3040 hours per week
  • Work Environment : Hybrid
  • Team Size : Approx. 45 employees across operations, project management, and administrative functions
