GI / Endoscopy RN- 13 Weeks contract Assignment in Rochester, NY

JOB SUMMARY

The ENDO / GASTROINTESTINAL (GI), GASTROENTEROLGY (GE) LABORATORY NURSE works in collaboration with doctors to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract. GI / GE nurses might work as scrub or circulators in the GI lab (colonoscopy, endoscopy). The GI / GE nurse may work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, physician practices and outpatient clinics. The GI / GE Lab nurse works under the supervision of physicians and nursing supervisors / managers.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

LICENSURE

Current unrestricted nursing license in the state of practice.

EXPERIENCE

At least one year of experience in a GI / ENDO

CREDENTIALS :

BLS and ACLS; PALS required of nurses serving the pediatric population

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
