Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a Briefing Coordinator to prepare briefing / reports that can communicate scientific and technical knowledge into succinct visual deliverables.

This role will support an ARPA-H Program Manager for cutting-edge research projects.

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is a new agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

It is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs to provide health solutions for all.

ARPA-H accelerates better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems.

These opportunities will advance high-potential, high-impact biomedical and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity.

With a scope spanning the molecular to the societal, these programs have the potential to radically improve everyone's health."

Responsibilities Include

  • Prepare internal communications documents, including handouts and emails, to inform team members of important notices in support of an ARPA-H Program Manager.
  • Review materials created by others and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, and other specialists from diverse backgrounds to elicit content for presentations and other reports.
  • Act as a functional expert on presentations, briefings, and strategic messaging in support of the ARPA-H Program Manager and other support personnel.
  • Establish contact lists of collaborators and update information periodically
  • Preparing briefing / reports that can communicate scientific and technical knowledge into succinct visual deliverables.

Requirements Overview

  • Masters degree
  • Six years of experience preparing biomedical, scientific research, and / or healthcare briefings and other documents.
  • Ability to clearly communicate scientific and technical knowledge and requirements to a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong attention to detail in evaluating the completion of various phases of a project
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential
  • Willingness to manage multiple tasks at once and adhere to guidelines, budgets, and deadlines
  • Experience providing presentation support for healthcare-related research and development organizations and senior management.
  • Cooperative and communicative attitude with executive staff, managers, and employees.
