We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Northbrook, Illinois. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Oversee general ledger operations, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare and post journal entries, adhering to accounting principles and company policies.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Assist in analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address accounting-related queries.
• Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency in accounting operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Expertise in managing month-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries.
• Proven ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
