Sojourn Suites is on the brink of an exciting transformation! Our hotel might be a little dated now, but we're about to kick off a major renovation over the next year , emerging as a brand-new Hyatt branded hotel . We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team, helping us keep things running smoothly during this transition and contributing to our future success as a Hyatt property.

What You'll Do

As our Maintenance Engineer, you'll be the backbone of our hotel's operations, ensuring everything is in top working order for our guests and staff. Your responsibilities will include :

Performing routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities. This could include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep.

Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues quickly and efficiently to minimize guest inconvenience.

Conducting preventative maintenance checks to identify and address potential problems before they arise.

Assisting with minor renovations and upgrades as we prepare for our re-branding.

Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.

Responding to guest and staff requests for maintenance assistance with a friendly and helpful attitude.

Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar commercial setting.

Strong knowledge of various trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and fix issues independently.

Reliability and attention to detail – you take pride in a job well done.

Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Availability to work full-time, 10 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM, with weekends required.
