Marketing Associate

Varda is seeking a full-time, on-site Marketing Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves supporting campaigns and strategies that promote Varda's mission and image. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow professionally and technically while working on impactful projects within a collaborative startup environment, alongside experienced aerospace professionals.

As the first dedicated Marketing Associate, you will link brand, product, and executive teams, ensuring consistent and effective communication for every launch, announcement, and campaign. You will thrive if you enjoy high ownership, rapid iteration, and a culture that values attention to detail and problem-solving.

Responsibilities include : Creating and managing social media content, including posts, threads, shorts, and long-form pieces that simplify complex science into shareable stories.

Maintaining a 90-day content calendar and leveraging real-time opportunities around launches and cultural moments.

Coordinating branding, design, and copy across digital properties.

Assisting with visual content creation, including editing videos, motion graphics, and infographics, and managing brand templates and merchandise.

Handling logistics for trade shows, investor demos, and STEM outreach events.

Tracking and benchmarking KPIs, conducting A / B tests, and sharing insights across the company.

Building and maintaining media vaults and project management tools to support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or an engineering field with proven science communication skills.

1+ years of marketing experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with social media content creation, photography, motion graphics, and video editing software.

Familiarity with scheduling, analytics, and social listening tools.

Experience in event or project management is a plus.

Bonus points for experience in aerospace, defense, biotech, or regulated sectors, as well as event marketing skills and motion graphics expertise.

Salary range : $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on skills and experience. The role is located on-site in El Segundo, CA, with opportunities for stock options and long-term incentives.
