Associate Director, Prospect Management and Data Analytics (Remote or Hybrid)

Description

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Prospect Management and Data Analytics who will build and manage the processes related to planning, documenting, and reporting on the work of Gladstone’s frontline fundraisers. This includes preparing research briefings, optimizing portfolios, tracking follow up, and generating dashboard reports of the team’s key performance indicators. This role will require a thorough understanding of database best practices, project management methodologies, data analytics, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities :

Design, organize, and implement a prospect workflow management system for the Philanthropy team.

Build a robust prospect management system and prospect pool geared to maximize Gladstone’s prospect pool in preparation for a campaign.

Build and prepare dashboard reports. Ensures reports are accurate, efficient and reflect the work of the department plans.

Work with frontline fundraisers to identify key prospects and move relationships forward.

Review assigned portfolios and add / remove prospects to create dynamic, well-planned portfolios for each fundraiser.

Partner with Philanthropy Program Associate to design and implement best data practices and use to move key relationships forward.

Track engagement and “moves” for each assigned prospect.

Nominate prospects / donors for inclusion or exclusion in various lists, audiences, etc.

Manage staging and tiering systems in donor database.

Develop a coding / tracking system for donor interests.

Conducts prospect research and prepares briefings.

Performs other duties as assigned or appropriate to achieve the goals and meet the deadlines of the department.

Qualifications : BA / BS preferred.

5+ years database and prospect management experience

Blackbaud and Raiser’s Edge expertise required

Experience working in a Philanthropy department and demonstrated experience with portfolio management, prospect research, and donor strategies

Demonstrated ability to design and implement a prospect management system, maintain data, and support frontline fundraisers and institutional leadership

Must be able to influence and manage the work of those who may not be direct reports

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail required

Experience working with a nonprofit research institute preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Strong project management skills, including tracking and reporting on projects

Ability to handle sensitive information

Understanding and demonstrated experience with donor data management principles and practices

Familiarity with terminology, best practices and procedure of fundraising

Experience working in a high-visibility setting requiring professional etiquette and decision-making

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) as well as Asana and Slack and Google Business products (Sheets, Docs, etc.).

Hiring Range : 100K-$120K
