Maintenance Engineer
On-Site in Blythewood, SC
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment, facilities, systems, and machinery through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and supporting a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for plant equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions for recurring equipment issues.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations and efficiency goals.
- Lead or assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and new equipment installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment records.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and services.
- Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting techniques, equipment care, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement projects to optimize reliability, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
Qualifications :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.3+ years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated production systems is a plus.Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Strong safety mindset and commitment to compliance with regulations.Preferred Skills :
