Michelin is hiring! The Area Maintenance Manager will lead a team of 25 - 35 maintenance personnel in an area of the facility. They will ensure the availability and durability of equipment in their sector while optimizing maintenance costs and energy in a continuous improvement approach. This should allow Operations to achieve the critical goals of Safety, Quality, Cost and Production.

This opportunity is in Lexington, SC. Located in Lexington County, we are proud to be an integral partner in one of the fastest growing communities in South Carolina. We are centrally located to many of the state's top destinations with Lake Murray nestled in our backyard. Our team has been manufacturing premium tires for passenger and light truck vehicles since 1981. Our facility is over 3 football fields in length, employs more than 1,600 team members and holds a variety of complex tire building machinery. What Will You Do

• Safety requirements are prioritized and ensured at all times (personnel and equipment)
• The maintenance strategy is applied to equipment criticality
• Maintenance plans are implemented, to include effective reaction to breakdowns and proactive work on machinery to improve control of the process (reliability).
• Effectiveness of machine interventions is continuously optimized (The analysis of maintenance results is ensured and implementation of necessary actions to ensure continuous progress over short- and medium-term horizons)
• Maintenance cost is optimized : operational efficiency, energy and spare parts consumption
• The steps and tools of MMW (Michelin Manufacturing Way) are mastered to drive reliability progress
• The reliability of equipment is ensured, in particular by dealing with obsolescence cases
• Resources are adapted (competency and quantity), training and succession plans are created and carried out
