Job Description
This position provides functional day to day oversight and direction of the Motor Vehicle Technicians by coordinating and prioritizing their work assignments and reviewing completed work for conformance with standards.
Establishes policies and procedures for the operations in the fleet shop. Assists in supervising the department's fuel supply / storage system.
Monitors shop safety procedures and recommends improvements. Schedules preventative maintenance activities with internal departments to minimize vehicle downtime.
Coordinates activities with internal departments, outside vendors, and service providers. May perform repairs as needed.
Coordinates and plans equipment purchases and assists with life cycle analysis and disposal. Perform accounting technician (service writer) duties as needed.
Serves as the Maintenance Supervisor in his / her absence.
