Shop Supervisor / Lead Mechanic

Overview

Shop Supervisor / Lead Mechanic role at Mid-Del Schools in the Transportation department. This position oversees all aspects of the Transportation Fleet, involves the supervision and daily direction of Lube Techs, and is responsible for inventory, fuel requisitions, parts and all items needed to keep the fleet functioning through the year. Reports directly to the Assistant Director and the Director of Transportation.

Qualification Requirements

• Education : High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• ASE School Bus Technician Certification or Similar Certification required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Take direction from immediate supervisors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Employee may occasionally be required to supervise a varying number of employees in the overall direction, coordination, and completion of tasks as assigned.
