E.I.T. Geotechnical Project Engineer : Support of Excavation

Responsibilities

In this position, you will gain experience that many Geotechnical Engineers look for early in their career but rarely find. We are a design-build firm, so you can see the installation of what you design. You earn cradle-to-grave experience in DESIGN, from preliminary design during the sales phase, being innovative during the value engineering phase, and perfecting your work in the final design phase before mobilization to the customer's construction site for installation.

This position is more than soil testing or writing geotechnical reports. You will utilize the geotechnical reports to determine which solution solves the project's unique foundation challenges and perform state-of-the-practice engineering analysis for a variety of geotechnical construction applications. You will produce construction drawings and design calculations for a wide range of ground improvement, earth retention, and ground modification projects.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have an E.I.T. certification or in the process of pursuing, a Master\'s Degree (preferred, but not required) with a Geotechnical Engineering focus, or an undergraduate Civil Engineering Degree. Knowledge of software packages, including DEEPEX, LPILE, SLIDE, GSTABL, SETTLE3D, MSEW, and Microsoft Office products, is a plus.
