Our people bring warmth, excellence, and care to every guest experience. We are looking for an Area Human Resources Manager who shares our passion for people and service to support two hotels in Midtown Manhattan.
Position Summary
As the Area HR Manager, you will be a trusted partner to hotel leaders and team members, ensuring our people feel supported, valued, and set up for success. You'll play a key role in recruitment, team member relations, training, and development while also ensuring we meet all legal and brand standards. This role is about building strong teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and helping our hotels deliver outstanding service.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with General Managers and department leaders to support staffing needs and HR initiatives.
- Oversee recruiting and hiring to bring in the best talent and keep our hotels staffed for success.
- Be a resource for team members, offering guidance and support on team member relations matters.
- Lead performance management efforts, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and brand standards.
- Promote team engagement through recognition, communication, and retention programs.
- Organize training and development opportunities to grow skills and careers.
- Assist hotel leadership with workforce planning and succession preparation.
Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred2+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in hospitality or multi-property management.Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, and training.Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork.Ability to travel between hotel properties as needed.HR Certification (PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) is a plusThe anticipated compensation range for the position is $80-85k per year. The salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, years of experience in the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
