Overview
DIADS / SAM Operator (Systems Administrator 3) – 25433 at HII
This role involves developing, integrating and operating DIADS and associated capabilities as part of the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis AFB, NV. The primary responsibility is the integration of DIADS within the JSE environment to enable accurate representation and operation of threat SAMs and IADS in the modeling and simulation environment.
What You Will Do
- Integrate DIADS version types to provide consistent and realistic representation of SAMs and IADS.
- Install current and updated versions of DIADS to support varying operating platforms (Windows, Linux, web-based).
- Orchestrate and operate constructive representation of red forces for test and training missions.
- Develop IADS scenarios for training and test audiences.
- Coordinate between DIADS and NGTS, as well as other JSE components, for successful entity handoff and interactions within the JSE enclave.
- Report issues related to stimulation software applications and provide advanced troubleshooting support.
What You Must Have
6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years relevant experience.Ability to clearly and fluently speak and write in English.Mental agility to track and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Fundamental understanding of military surface-to-air missile systems.Understanding of Air Force terminology to implement / emulate realistic red forces for test and training.Work Environment : On-site support required; not eligible for remote work.Must be capable of working morning and evening shifts to accommodate flexible schedule training operations.Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS / SCI and relevant SAP / SAR clearance.Preferred Requirements
Advanced understanding of military surface-to-air missile systems and tactics.Experience with Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) software.Military experience with aviation and combat systems.Advanced aircraft simulator experience and scenario development.Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) and familiarity with its software components (NGTS, WSCE, DIADS, EAAGLES, GRID, Shot Log, ART, SCE).Physical Requirements
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
