In this role, you will regularly patrol your assigned area, maintain a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry a weapon as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established guidelines for armed personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols within and around the location, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter unwanted behaviors. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to clients and the public. Operate in alignment with protocols for government facilities, including the proper handling and carrying of authorized equipment. Complete incident reports and document observations as required by site protocols. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and public personnel, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed. Support access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entries and exits to help to deter unauthorized access. Remain alert to changing conditions and respond to emergencies or urgent situations following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. Minimum Requirements : Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification. Hold an armed guard card or armed guard license. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
