Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Memphis, TN (38104) – Tennessee healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown (CV Stepdown)

Start Dates : 11 / 17 / 2025, 12 / 1 / 2025, 12 / 15 / 2025

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : As needed

On-Call : As needed

Orientation : Comprehensive onboarding provided

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (required)

At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC) – Tennessee nursing jobs

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required for cardiac nursing jobs)

Skills : Telemetry monitoring, IV Start proficiency

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (no local travelers)

Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

First-time travel RNs accepted with 3+ years of recent stepdown experience

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and cardiovascular conditions in a 48-bed stepdown unit

Monitor and assess patients using bedside and telemetry monitoring systems

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Float to similar stepdown units within a 20-mile radius as needed

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with all facility policies

Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
